About the EAS Unit

The EAS Unit at the ASEAN Secretariat was established in 2016 in accordance with the mandate of the 2015 Kuala Lumpur Declaration on the 10th Anniversary of the East Asia Summit as a focal point to improve coordination and facilitate cross-sector EAS cooperation. The EAS Unit also serves and supports the EAS Meeting as part of efforts to strengthen the EAS mechanisms.
