In the closing of the 47th ASEAN Summit, Malaysia ceremonially handed over ASEAN Chairmanship to the Philippines during the Closing Ceremony of the 47th ASEAN Summit. The Philippines will assume Chairmanship over ASEAN on January 1st 2026 under the theme ” Navigating Our Future Together.”
