The Third Meeting of the Group of East Asia Summit (EAS) Participating Countries’ Ambassadors to ASEAN in Jakarta (EAS Group) (3/2024 EAS Group Meeting) was held today at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. The Meeting reviewed the implementation of the EAS Plan of Action 2024-2028, discussed preparations for the upcoming 19^th East Asia Summit in October, and exchanged views on regional development cooperation initiatives and security policies and initiatives. Ambassadors of the EAS Participating Countries or their representatives, and the ASEAN Secretariat were in attendance. Timor-Leste attended as Observer.
